Description

The journey of Kona Coffee & Tea's 100% Kona Coffee bean begins as a seed, planted in the rich volcanic soil of Hualalai. Nurtured by sunny mornings, afternoon clouds, and regular rainfall, our farm is located in the heart of the “Kona Coffee Belt,” providing ideal conditions for producing the world’s best coffee. Situated at high elevations overlooking the beautiful Kona coast, our beans develop more slowly, resulting in a denser, higher-quality coffee bean after processing.

Three years after planting, delicate white flowers bloom between January and May, affectionately known as “Kona snow.” Once the “Kona snow” fades, bright green cherries form, encapsulating our precious coffee beans. When summer arrives, the cherries ripen to a rich red, and our dedicated pickers meticulously select only the finest fruit by hand, returning to the same tree multiple times before the harvest concludes.

    Family Owned and Operated

Kona Coffee & Tea is proudly family-owned and operated by the Bolton family. Founded in 1998 by Jan and Dan Bolton, the farm began with 20 acres of Kona coffee on a former cattle ranch known as Waiono (Delicious Waters) Meadows, located in Holualoa. Today, we have expanded to over 300 acres, ensuring that your 100% Kona Coffee is shipped fast and fresh to connoisseurs around the world through our online store. Jan and Dan, along with their daughters Malia and Kirstina and son Danny, remain passionate about growing and sharing the finest 100% Kona Coffee. Mahalo for your purchase!

    Aloha in Your Cup

Kona Coffee & Tea's 100% Kona Coffee is cultivated in a small, highly regulated region high in the Hawaiian hills. Here, the hills receive optimal sun, rain, and nutrients, but above all, they are infused with Aloha. This unique combination of natural ingredients and island spirit makes Kona Coffee more than just a delicious treat—it is a verifiable top-shelf choice in the specialty coffee arena.
